Hi, I’m Shubham.
I’m a CSE (AI & ML) student at VIT Pune. Currently, I’m — years old and I tend to get interested in a tool long before I’m satisfied with simply using it.
A five-minute question can turn into an evening of tracing how something works, trying another approach or building a version of my own. That habit has taken me from international Discord communities to backend systems, applied AI and research. I like the part where an idea meets awkward edge cases, failed requests and people actually using it.

Where it started
In 2020, at 14, I moderated and administered Agar.io communities on Discord, with members across Europe, the US and beyond. I then built my own community and grew it to 1,500+ members, with 30 server boosts and partnerships that brought people in from other servers.
I became the person people asked when they wanted a server built or reorganized. Channel architecture, role hierarchies, granular permissions, bot configuration and moderation workflows became things I knew inside out. I helped friends and connections set up their communities too, spending hours getting the details right.
Eventually, configuring existing bots wasn’t enough. I taught myself JavaScript and Discord.js, spent weeks building a custom bot, hosted it and made it available through a bot directory. It was used in our community. Documentation, tutorials, debugging and trial and error were the process, years before I had an AI coding assistant.
The same intensity showed up in Notion. I spent about a month studying tutorials and 100+ references and examples, then built an interconnected personal workspace with databases, relations, formulas, linked views and dashboards. I wanted its parts to work together, beyond a collection of notes.
Running a YouTube channel also pulled me into video and image editing, while AutoHotkey introduced me to automating repetitive desktop work. I’m comfortable spending time inside unfamiliar software until it stops feeling unfamiliar.
What I work on now
My work sits across backend engineering, distributed systems and applied AI. TransactX tackles retry-safe payments, settlement state and reconciliation. CliniQ+ brings voice transcription and structured records into a clinical workflow. Research has taken me into sports analytics, water-quality monitoring and computer vision, with three IEEE publications and academic industry work with Passion Infotech and Ram Antivirus.
Competitive programming is another constant: 1,300+ problems and 150+ contests. The part I value most is choosing an approach, reasoning about its complexity and making it hold up under edge cases.
Beyond code
Outside computers, I’m drawn to badminton, tennis, football and cricket. I read non-fiction and follow news, politics and geopolitics closely; there is usually another topic I want to understand beyond the headline. That interest became practical at VIT Pune MUN.
VIT Pune MUN Research Head & Director, Wassenaar Arrangement · 2024–25
I led research work and a team, prepared delegate study guides and researched speakers, partners and sponsors for targeted outreach. Across the year that included thousands of personalized emails, interviews with external dignitaries and manually transcribing hours-long conversations for newsletters.
For the flagship conference, I helped interview and evaluate Executive Board candidates, then directed the Wassenaar Arrangement committee. I coordinated volunteers and support requests, served as the bridge to the central team and evaluated delegates alongside two experienced chairs. At the closing ceremony, I delivered our remarks and announced awards before hundreds of attendees.
As a Social Welfare & Development member in 2023–24, I also helped with Anandwan Foundation tree-planting drives around Pune, cleanups at Taljai Tekdi and Khadakwasla Dam and online sustainability awareness.
